Our Work and Clients

We’ve been around for a while–working in technical roles since 1990. So we’ve been a lot of places, both as employees and in consulting roles. Here they are, with a brief description of our work at each place, in alphabetical order by organization.

  • At America Achieves Matt rebuilt the website, implemented Salesforce, and reduced monthly infrastructure costs by 95% ($14K to $600) by migrating them to Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
  • Matt served as Digital Strategy Advocate at the American Institute for Conservation, modernizing and simplifying their architecture, helping to make digital competency a more effective part of the conservation profession, and advising on technology and digital strategy.
  • Matt and Amy, working together, updated computer systems and moved all infrastructure to the cloud at Astral Artists.
  • At Brooklyn Museum Matt founded the IT department and launched influential open-source tools for building and managing educational technology.
  • At C5, Inc., Amy managed business accounts, oversaw Human Resources, scheduled recording studio work and client studio visits, and hosted dignitaries.
  • For Children’s Health Fund Amy directed the Annual Giving program, managed online fundraising and email marketing, led direct mail appeals, and directed CRM operations.
  • At Curtis Institute of Music Matt, as a consultant, led a strategic growth project at resulting in goals that he later met as their CTO: founded the IT department, migrated all business systems to the cloud, implemented an integrated, system-wide CRM, rebuilt the website, and consolidated performance and pedagogical scheduling into one uber-system.
  • At The Doe Fund Amy managed direct mail, administered Raiser’s Edge, established and enforced data integrity policies and procedures, and built the email marketing program and online giving products.
  • At Environmental Defense Fund Amy managed Raiser’s Edge, supervised gift-processing operations, and led the conversion from Raiser’s Edge to PledgeMaker; and Matt managed the servers, desktops and laptops, and coded and launched the first generation of online nonprofit advocacy and fundraising tools, as well as founding their website.
  • At Forensic Psychology Associates Amy managed business accounts, managed website, managed billing and accounting, proctored and scored court-ordered testing, managed inventory, equipment, and software, hosted patients.
  • Matt led the project at Indianapolis Museum of Art leading to the selection of their first Digital Asset Management System (DAMS).
  • For Israel Humanitarian Foundation Amy managed and restructured the Raiser’s Edge Database, established data policies, and trained staff in effective procedures she developed.
  • Matt led an evaluation for the Kramlich Collection leading to the selection of a combined asset/collections management system.
  • At Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Matt coded database tools for managing data from the Human Genome Project.
  • For Learning Heroes, Matt rebuilt Be A Learning Hero and built tools to make standardized tests more valuable to kids and parents.
  • Amy assessed and overhauled the CRM and wrote business rules for Literacy Partners
  • At The Metropolitan Museum of Art Matt and his team got the entire collection online, with big hi-res pictures; rebuilt the website; founded a huge and successful social media operation; and raised millions of dollars online.
  • In 2017 Matt worked on tech and digital strategy for the New Mexico Public Education Department, refocusing their operations from a compliance model to a customer-service model and leading to the launch of their parent-focused website.
  • For The New York Public Library Matt made online advocacy lots more successful, and connected the book catalog to event registration to get a fuller picture of the Library’s users.
  • For Practus, LLP and Weiswood Strategies Amy managed business contacts, edited legal documents, managed Quickbooks accounting, designed marketing materials, and managed travel and events.
  • Matt and Amy, working together, are bringing modern, Zero IT approaches to Salt Design Studio.
  • Matt built a web analytics funnel to determine the behaviors leading to event attendance at the The Warhol Museum.
